‘E-learning will boost tertiary education’
The Chief Executive Officer, Emerging Platforms Group, Mr. Kola Aina, says that tertiary education in Africa will soon witness a massive boost, especially with the introduction of technology in education.
He, therefore, urged Africans to embrace the technology, saying that it will bring education closer to the people at their convenience.
Aina stated this at an e-learning Africa Conference held in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, recently.
In a statement on Monday, Aina was quoted as saying that personalised e-learning solution was the revolution needed in advancing education on the continent.
He said, “With EduPlatforms, we have created an innovative and personalised e-learning solution for tertiary institutions to make learning more efficient and effective for both students and tutors. We realise that today’s students are digital natives. “It is therefore important that school administrators invest in academic solutions that are technologically driven, which will meet today’s digital students at his/her comfort zone.”
On the firm’s i-learn and i-learn Plus solutions for tertiary education, Aina noted that they provided excellent e-learning services, particularly for students of Open and Distance learning institutions.
“The i-learn spans the deployment of administration portals and Learning Management Systems, Instructional Design, Multi-Media Content Production and support services. It offers more flexibility and convenience for students of Open and Distance Learning institutions, as well as conventional institutions.
